There are many fantastic websites dedicated to chinchillas nowadays. This site does not pretend to be one of the best, but I hope that all chinchilla owners - (experienced or new to chinchillas) - will be able to easily and simply navigate around this site, accessing some useful information, which is based on my own practical experiences in keeping these intelligent and amusing rodents as well as my own research!! (full bibliography available on request)
Please feel free to request further articles on chinchilla-related subjects and I will do my best to add them in due course. This website is updated regularly anyway, but any suggestions are useful.
Also I would like to hear from people if there are any glaring errors too - after all, we are only human!!

My chinchillas are not all just for breeding and showing. I have several of my original pets, now well into their teenage years, living in comfortable retirement and some ex-rescues also enjoying a safe and secure life, never to be sold!
All my chinchillas enjoy cages furnished with ledges and sleeping pads, plenty of toys to ensure that they do not become bored, and the best possible diet. Their unit has plenty of natural light and ventilation and is fully equipped with air-conditioning and dehumidification, essential for our damp English climate.
I have learned much in the 18 years I have been keeping chinchillas, but you never stop learning!! I hope to be able to share some of my ongoing knowledge via this website, and I hope you enjoy reading it.
